“Better to die fighting for freedom then be a prisoner all the days of your life.”
― Bob Marley
Criminal & Real Estate Law studies with a work history in the legal field. Lisa is a defender at heart with a true love for reading and writing, specifically about stories involving the law. Long fascinated with studying cases involving forensics, criminal psychology and investigation but over the last decade has focused mostly on cases concerning the wrongly accused and convicted. Her vision with this website is to stop talking and feeling bad about these cases and start trying to help by getting the word out. It's a lot easier to get away with things when nobody is watching. As the stories show, Lisa and Mike want to talk about the wrongfully accused and convicted in all areas of the law and more than anything, the cases that nobody has heard of.
Liberty is the possibility of doubting, of making a mistake,... of searching and experimenting,... of saying No to any authority — literary, artistic, philosophical, religious, social, and even political. ~Ignazio Silone, The God That Failed, 1950
A Criminal Justice Major, Mike has long been interested in all things corruption- From wrongful incarcerations to the drug war, and mind control to media manipulation, Mike has been researching various fields for several years, building a base of knowledge in a variety of subjects. Having previously published three websites, www.thecivilian.com (defunct) and civiliannewswire.blogspot.com as well as rebellioustruth.blogspot.com, Mike has been interested in getting to the truth behind many subjects, whatever that truth may reveal. In dealing with wrongful incarcerations, he hopes to bring some light to some cases which you might have heard of, but more likely have not. He hopes to shine a spotlight on laws which he finds unjust, and maybe together we can bring back a semblance of truth and justice to the 'Justice' System.
